As the UK enters the final stages of the Brexit negotiations, we are delighted to welcome Nicky Morgan, MP for Loughborough and chair of the Treasury Select Committee, to share her perspectives on 'Brexit: the future of regulation & the future of the City'.
As a prominent 'Brexit rebel' and former Treasury minister, Nicky has a unique insight into the nexus of the politics and practicalities of Brexit, and its potential impact on the City of London, the wider European financial services industry and its customers, and the future of regulation.
About Nicky Morgan:
Nicky Morgan has been the Conservative MP for Loughborough since 2010 and has been the outspoken chair of the Treasury Select Committee since the middle of last year. A prominent and proud Brexit rebel, she has been a vociferous critic of hardline Brexiters and has campaigned for a softer Brexit. She has previously served as Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities; Financial Secretary to the Treasury; Minister for Women; and Economic Secretary to the Treasury. Before entering politics, Nicky was a corporate lawyer.
