Covid and D&I – Time for radical action
17 September 2020
Driving diversity

At this event in collaboration with Refinitiv, we will launch our latest research looking at how the Covid crisis is catalysing a step change in diversity and inclusion across the financial services industry.
We will present the highlights of our findings, followed by a high-level panel discussion with:
David Craig, CEO, Refinitiv
Birgit Neu, Global head of diversity & inclusion, HSBC
Peter Horrell, Managing director, Fidelity International
The discussion will focus on five areas:
Increasing stakeholder pressure – From government, regulators, policymakers to investors, clients, customers and society;
The evolving role of the D&I function – How the pandemic has propelled the D&I agenda to the fore and more is being asked of D&I teams than ever before;
A forensic approach to diversity data – How organisations are using diversity data to better understand how Covid is impacting their employees;
Updating the business case for diversity – How D&I was central to business continuity plans through the crisis and is becoming integrated into the business operating model;
Shifting to an evidence-based approach for people decisions – The stage is set for new criteria for measuring and rewarding performance in a remote working world
