EU capital markets – a new sense of urgency

This event, 'EU capital markets – a new sense of urgency’ marks the launch of our annual benchmarking report on the size, depth and growth potential of EU capital markets.

We are delighted to be hosting John Berrigan, director general of DG FISMA at the European Commission, as our guest speaker, with other speakers and panellists to be announced in the next few weeks.

The main theme of this year’s report will be injecting a new sense of urgency into the development of European capital markets. It will measure the welcome progress that has been made so far on CMU, but more importantly aim to present a compelling ‘call to action’ as to why and how EU member states can and should go further and faster on developing deeper capital markets.

We expect participants to be a combination of government officials and policymakers from across Europe, and senior executives and policy specialists from across the industry.
