HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter: Focus on acceleration

30 June 2025

Driving diversity | WIFC

Earlier this year, the Economic Secretary to the Treasury said she wants to see signatories increasing female representation by more than the average of one percentage point we have seen across the cohort every year since the Charter launched in 2016. At this event, we will present new analysis and discuss what this increased acceleration means for signatories. We also expect to hear from:

  • Emma Reynolds MP, Economic Secretary to HM Treasury,

  • Gwyneth Nurse, Director General, Financial Services at HM Treasury,

  • Amanda Blanc, Group CEO at Aviva and Government Women in Finance Champion.

This event is an opportunity to network with peers, gain insight into the progress of Charter signatories, celebrate successes, and improve your understanding of best practice around the principles of the Charter.

We expect attendees to include Accountable Executives and Charter contacts at signatory firms. As this is an in-person event, we can welcome up to two guests per signatory firm and will allocate spaces on a first come first served basis with priority for Accountable Executives.
