Jeremy will join us to discuss themes from his new book, Can We Be Rich Again?: The Surprising Potential of Britain's Economy’ that is set for release in early June (each guest will receive a copy).

 

He will also discuss his experience in government as Chancellor and his perspectives on the ongoing reform agenda in financial services (he is chair of the APPG on financial markets and services), and perspectives on the ongoing reform agenda in UK financial services. No doubt he will also share his wider perspectives on UK politics, the fortunes of the Labour government, and the outlook for the Conservatives.

 

We expect participants to be senior policy and government affairs specialists with a particular interest in UK politics About Jeremy Hunt:

Jeremy Hunt in the MP for Godalming & Ash in Surry and was Chancellor of the Exchequer from October 2022 to July 2024, and previously served as foreign secretary, health secretary, and culture secretary. He is Chair of the APPG on financial markets and services and retains a key interest in financial services policy and reform. He was first elected Conservative MP for South West Surrey in May 2005, and before going into politics was a successful entrepreneur in education publishing.
