16 August 2021
Capital markets
Pat McFadden has been the MP for Wolverhampton South East since 2005 and was appointed Shadow Economic Secretary to the Treasury by Keir Starmer in April 2020. This event is just ahead of the Labour Party conference and will focus on Labour’s perspective on the City.
We’ll be discussing a wide range of topics including:
the level and range in understanding in Westminster of the City;
the politics of banking and finance;
the post-Brexit future of the City;
the future framework for the UK
This event is part of a series of informal ‘Meet the MP’ events that we have launched at New Financial and we’re looking forward to hosting Nickie Aiken (MP for the Cities of London and Westminster) and Bim Afolami (MP for Hitchin and Harpenden) in the next few months, with more to come in future.
