Private in-person discussion with Petra Hielkema, chair of EIOPA

We hosted an event with Petra early in 2025 to discuss EIOPA’s perspective on the key themes in European capital markets, including building bigger pools of long-term capital across pensions, retail, and insurance to help support more investment, more competitive capital markets, and a more competitive EU economy. During this discussion we’ll discuss the progress made in European capital markets since Petra was last in London.

We expect participants to be senior executives, CROs, COOs, and policy specialists with a focus on European insurance, pensions, and asset management, as well as some government officials and policymakers. About Petra Hielkema:

Petra has been chair of EIOPA since September 2021 and this year chairs the Joint Committee, the forum that coordinates the cooperation between the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the European Banking Authority (EBA), and EIOPA.
