The 'UK Secondary Capital Raising Review' with Mark Austin
11 January 2022
UK capital markets
The 2022 New Financial event programme commences with the opportunity for different constituencies in the capital markets to share their views on the challenges and opportunities of reforming the process for capital raising by companies that are already listed on UK markets.
We are delighted to host Mark Austin, a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer who is leading the review.
Mark will outline some of the key issues that the review has identified so far, discuss the different perspectives with a panel of practitioners from asset management, investment banking and corporates, and take questions from participants. The review recently concluded its call for evidence and will report HM Treasury in the spring of 2022.
About Mark Austin:
Mark chairs the FCA’s Listing Authority Advisory Panel and is also a member of the FCA's Markets Practitioner Panel and the LSE’s Primary Markets Group. He was a member of the advisory panel on Lord Hill’s review.
We expect participants will be a combination of UK equities / ECM specialists, policy specialists and policymakers.
