HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter 10 Year Review Launch
30 June 2026
New Financial hosted the launch of the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter 10 Year Review with a lively, full house at our signatory event

A huge thank you to the ~240 attendees from more than 130 signatory firms who joined us to celebrate a decade of the Charter. We heard from a fantastic line-up of speakers including Rachel Blake MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Gwyneth Nurse, Director General, Financial Services at HM Treasury, Debbie Crosbie DBE, Chief Executive of Nationwide Building Society and HM Treasury Women in Finance Champion and Susan Allen, OBE, CEO at Yorkshire Building Society, as well as our hosts ICAEW.
All of our speakers emphasised the role of the four principles of the Charter working together to change the industry's default position over the past decade - gender diversity is now treated as a business issue that is integral to how business is run. And while it was widely acknowledged that there are challenges ahead, there was huge enthusiasm to tackle them.
We also heard from a signatory panel of Katie Murray, Group Chief Financial Officer at NatWest Group; Bola Ogun, Group head of total reward, performance and ED&I at LSEG; and Steve Collinson, Chief HR and Sustainability Officer at Zurich Insurance UK who shared their insights on the progress of the Charter from a signatory perspective.
We will be sharing even more highlights from the event in the coming weeks - watch this space! In the meantime, you can read the HM Treasury Women In Finance Charter 10 Year Review report in full here: https://lnkd.in/eMFgUTEm
As ever, we want to express our sincerest thanks to all our speakers and to Nationwide Building Society, Aviva, LSEG and City of London Corporation for sponsoring New Financial’s work on the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter.
